BaconBit     is a transferable, smart ear tag containing sensors to constantly measure the health and wellness of the animal. The device consists of a skin thermometer to record body temperature and can wirelessly transmit the sensor readings to one of the aggregators housed inside the barn. The frequency of the data collection and transmission is remotely programmable with an in-built store and forward capability. This constant recording and monitoring of health data helps nutrition experts and vets to decide on the right wellness plan for the animal.
